White Chocolate Party Mix (Reindeer Food)

A close-up image of a mix of snack foods including pretzel sticks, cereal pieces, and colorful candy-coated items, coated in a light dusting of sugar or icing.

White Chocolate Party Mix is a no-bake sweet and salty snack combining crunchy cereals, pretzels, peanuts, and candy-coated chocolates coated in smooth white chocolate.  It’s perfect for holidays, parties, or gifting, comes together in under 30 minutes, and requires only a microwave and mixing bowls.  This mix is a combination of sweet, salty and crunchy,  which makes it very addictive. While perfect for holidays, any color chocolate coated candy can be used for any time of the year or any occasion.

Mix rice cereal, toasted oat cereal, pretzel sticks, peanuts and candy in a bowl to mix. Spread evenly over a baking sheet lined with wax paper.

In a double boiler, add white chips and oil. Stir to coat chips. Bring water to a boil and melt chips, stirring constantly. Alternatively, you can melt in the microwave. Do it in 30 second intervals, stirring each time to avoid burning the chocolate.

When white chocolate is smooth, pour over cereal mixture. Stir mixture to coat cereal evenly. Allow chocolate to harden. Store in an airtight container.

Every year since we first had this mix, my kids started asking me as the holidays approach when I will be making it. They absolutely love it! The color of the M&Ms can be switched out for other holidays or no holiday at all.
