Southern Sweet Potato Pie

While it looks like pumpkin pie, Sweet Potato Pie is a preferred and common holiday dessert for those in the Southern United States and families who were a part of The Great Migration to northern states from southern states. Pumpkin pie is a slightly less sweet dessert with an earthier flavor, while sweet potato pie is naturally sweeter and richer flavor with a silky and softer texture. Our recipe can be adapted for making dessert bars for a less formal feel.
