Fresh Charlevoix Salad Recipe with Michigan Cherries

Our Charlevoix salad is a beautiful entree salad with fresh ingredients and a tasty dressing. I have been making this salad for years using garden fresh ingredients, dried Michigan Montmorency cherries, crumbled blue cheese, seasoned chicken and a sweet and tangy homemade dressing.

The Charlevoix salad turns a tasty first course into a meal by adding protein such as seasoned grilled chicken or a mild fish turning a tasty salad into a main course. The salad is complete with a bounty of Michigan grown cherries and locally grown fresh produce when in season. The tart cherries, salty cheese and toasted nuts are complemented by a slightly sweet and tangy Honey Cider Dijon vinaigrette dressing.

The homemade slightly sweet, tangy and tart dressing is a wonderful complement to the fresh greens, seasoned chicken, dried cherries, nuts cheese and garden fresh tomatoes.
