Cheeseburger sliders are a versatile favorite, whether you’re looking for a quick 30-minute homemade meal or something for a watch party or casual entertaining.
To make these sliders, I cut Hawaiian rolls, so I have half on the bottom and half for the top of the sliders. Ground beef should be browned and onions added while ground beef is cooking to soften them. If sweet onions are available, these are my first choice to use. Once beef is browned, drain grease from the meat. Remove from heat and add mayonnaise, mixing until completely combined.
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Assemble sliders by layering American cheese on the bottom layer of the slider buns. Layer beef mixture over cheese layer. If using burger sauce, spread it over meat at this point, followed by spreading the shredded cheddar cheese in an even layer. Top the sliders with the top layers of buns. Using a pastry brush, brush the melted butter over the top of the buns. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the tops of the buns.
Bake in oven for 15 minutes on a foil or parchment lined pan.
