My husband, a bartender, taught me how to make this cocktail. According to him, they should be a light pink, not the deep pink they show on Sex and the Cit, after all those cocktails are just props. The cocktail is much better balanced that the cocktail with too much cranberry juice.

- Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add vodka, triple sec, cranberry juice, and lime juice.
- Shake the cocktail shaker for about 30 seconds until well chilled. Then, strain into a martini glass.
- Garnish with orange or lemon peel/twist.
