This salad is one of my favorites. I originally had it at one of my most loved restaurants, The Big Fish, in Dearborn, Michigan. After moving to the Rosedale Park neighborhood in Detroit, I quickly realized that this beloved restaurant was just minutes away down the Southfield Freeway. The restaurant was at the time a Chuck Muer restaurant. Muer was a famous Detroit restaurateur and grandson of the iconic Detroit restauranteur, Joe Muer. This salad can be found today at many restaurants, which were formally part of the Chuck Muer restaurant group. The story goes that this salad was named for a server and has nothing to do with the east coast resort community.
